ARISE! Weekend May 29-31

We arrived on Friday at 3:00 PM and began preparing for the performance by putting on our costumes, makeup, and microphones. At 5:00 PM, a delicious dinner was served. At 6:00 PM, we presented our beautiful Emmaus performance. After the show, we had the opportunity to greet and meet members of the audience. We then gathered for a group photo and concluded the day with prayer.

On Saturday everyone arrived at 9:00 AM, and we began the day with worship and thanksgiving. Afterward, we met together to discuss areas we could improve for the next performance. Later in the morning, we had teaching sessions. The children received a teaching from Stephen Brewer, while the teens attended a session led by Cissy Suijkerbuijk on the theme, “An Encounter with Jesus Leads to Mission.” Following the teachings, we met in small groups to reflect and share. We then spent some time making final preparations for Sunday's performance. About 45 minutes later, a delicious lunch was served. After lunch, we enjoyed a 40-minute break where we played outside while inside people played card games. In the afternoon, some of the leaders taught the children a praise song with a dance, while optional singing auditions were held for those who wished to participate. Later, we enjoyed a tasty snack before closing the day together in prayer at 4:00 PM.

On Sunday, we attended Mass at 10:30 AM. Afterwards, we gathered in the cafeteria for lunch and began preparing for our final performance. Once everyone was ready, we enjoyed a quick snack before presenting our final Emmaus performance. Following the show, we greeted the audience and celebrated all that God had done throughout the weekend. To conclude the day, we spent time together on stage, thanking God for a beautiful and joyful weekend.
